"Is this real life?"

...Chef smashed it to be honest. This night deprived me of sleep, but it was definitely worth it. Sgt. Pokes was as sick as ever. He is now a legend in my eyes after he randomly quoted "Is this real life?" from the infamous David After Dentist video which can be seen here. Flowdan... SKENG! When did he cut his hair off?! N-Type & Flowdan teamed together to create an immense hype. Poison Dart got 3 reloads while For The Kill got the lighters out and the hands in the air. Singalongs are always nice.
Youngsta always amazes me when he plays his set because his mixing is always 100% perfect. Each tune goes amazingly well with the next. He plays music for the proper dubstep listeners who have been listening for longer than 1 week. Bare classics. Hatcha... oh my days. The stamina crew must have used all their energy skanking because the mix was madness. If you were there and you know the name of the tune that came on before the Distance one near the end... please, please leave a comment. Its left a scar.
3 hours of sleep over a whole weekend isn't as bad as it sounds really. And yeah, going to dubstep nights alone is normal to me. Can meet some cool people...

Why Not?

If you are a fellow Rinse FM listener, you may have heard that I won tickets to Why Not on Saturday at Scala. I did not expect to win! Big up Benny Morgan for giving me the answer though because I didn't even hear the question being asked. Unfortunately for Ben, He can't make it.

Nice way to end a mediocre day isn't it. I now have a cold, thanks to my lovely sister. I currently feel like death, I even missed work due to it. Can't concentrate.. not good! If this post sounds a bit jumbled up, you know why.
Lauren's birthday = chocolate cake. I had a piece. It was nice. I have a photo which I can't show you, but it's funny. Just thought you should know.

As I feel so rubbish, I think I should get going to bed
Night peeps

P.S: DJ Tubby, I salute you.

Kashmir is run by noobs

I finished early today so I thought I'd put my day rider to use and take the bus into town. After I finished browsing the very few men's clothes stores, I was hungry, so I took a trip down to the infamous Kashmir fast food shop on Midland Road, which I used to really like.
After handing over my money for a Number 3 (1 pc Chicken, Donner meat, Fries & Coke) I took a seat as I waited for the food to be prepared.

I was sat down for literally about 30 minutes. FOR THAT AMOUNT OF FOOD =| smh. Within these 30 minutes, I had taken some photographs, played Juiced on my phone and watched TWO customers walk in and out of the shop after being handed their orders. Understandably, I was rather annoyed at this, so I went back to the counter and asked what was going on, and more importantly, how much longer I was going to be waiting - I was really hungry at this point.
To my annoyance, I discovered that the last piece of chicken was sold to the last customer who came in after me and I would have to wait an extra 15 minutes for the fresh batch to be cooked. I'm afraid the face I made wasn't the nicest I'd made today. After biting my tongue, I kindly asked for my £2.50 back and said I would "come back later," and went back on the bus.
As I was so amazingly hungry after sitting next to a happy sandwich eater all the way back, I went to the trusty chip shop, where I  bought a portion of chips, along with 2 pieces of chicken with no problem. Which was quite nice to be honest.
I really doubt I will step foot inside Kashmir again, unfortunately, as they used to be really good. For now it's going to be chip shops and mainstream food chains. Unless Grillers comes back. Fingers crossed. Hopefully the inside of the shop looks like above for a while longer!

Other than this food mishap, days been quite good. I've mastered the settings on my camera and am quite happy about the pictures I am now able to take =].

Anyway, back to Logan Sama on Kiss FM

Countdown...

No not that one! There is less than a week to go until the 2009 Formula 1 season is underway and to be honest, the wait has been tedious.  A lot of changes have been made since the last season, from the shape of the cars themselves, to the safety car rules to KERS, which I will not explain. I was filled with relief to find out that the 'winner takes all' scoring system had been scrapped after the amount of uproar it had caused! Honda are no more and have been replaced with Brawn, who are doing surprisingly well in testing for the amount of experience they don't have.  Reports say that McLaren aren't doing as well as expected and are having a hard time with their car, although they haven't unveiled all the parts of their new car as of yet so time will tell what happens with that.

The BBC will be broadcasting for the first time in years. I actually cant wait to watch the race without the interruption of ITV's adverts. Ahh I can hear the theme tune already..

Tayong Promo

Many many years ago, this guy vocalled one of my instrumentals from when I used to contribute to the scene. Now, at the age of 19, he's about to go on tour across each and every Oceana & Pure club across the UK, and his workrate is second to none. Tayong currently has a video on Channel U, which can be voted for by texting 3768 to 81700. He can be found on www.myspace.com/tayongtyn
This promo houses 15 songs ranging from the sad and serious to Grime that makes you want to skrewface. There is much more to this guy than meets the eye. Definitely worth checking out, and of course, this download is exclusive to sirmitchie.blogspot.com. Enjoy.

The sun, IT SHINES!

And what a day to leave my camera at home! Tut tut mitchie..
Was a nice day really. Everyone was in a playful mood, half of the year went around the school playing 45 & in or did some madness with polystyrine cups, which was jokes. I must have been the most hyper person for the first half of the day, I was bouncing around so much, I didnt know what to do with myself, and that was me WITHOUT coffee! Work was actually good today, had a few laughs, and didn't get let out to late which was nice.

More downloads to come this week which I need to sort out, I have a lot to do though so be patient =]. I should be getting ready for bed now, early to rise. Hopefully have some pictures up tomorrow!

Power House

RinseFM's DJ Scratcha has finished his fourth live Power House mix, and it's a lot! Almost 1 hour long, this mix includes music from himself, Geeneus, Bedford's Lil' Silva, and more. Scratcha can be heard on air, every week day from 08:00-11:00 on the Grimey Breakfast show, playing grime, dubstep, house, rnb, or whatever he feels is good at the moment and is definitely worth locking into when you are able to.
These mixes will be recorded live every Friday morning so make sure you listen out for them. For DJ bookings please email: djscratcha.bookings@live.co.uk and visit www.myspace.com/scratchadva to listen to his latest house and grime productions.

One week old.

This time last week, I was thinking, '...what am I doing... I'm not gonna stick to this, and people arn't even gonna read it.' I was wrong! My post rate is above 1 a day and over 200 people have downloaded yesterdays mix so thats an insentive in itself. I have more free downloads coming up and have plans to work with more local music people so yeah, thank you to all you people that have continued to come back and support... means a lot =]

Top Knoch Mix

I've known Top Knoch for a while now, and his name should definitely be bigger than it is. Music plays a big part in his life and he jumped on the idea of putting together the first mix to be posted on my blog. This mix contains music from two of the biggest instrumental genres of the underground, Dubstep and Drum & Bass with one of his own productions at the end to send it off nicely. So here it is. Please leave some comments and reviews to let us know what you think, here and at www.myspace.com/topknoch.
Don't forget - the interview will be posted up later this week so watch this space.

Progress

I know this blog hasn't been going for a whole week yet, but it's Sunday night so meh. I think the past few days have been successful, I've shown myself I can keep coming back to here to post my random photography and write little comments about the past day. The feedback has been good and I've caused a few smiles, as well as confused faces when I randomly pull my camera out.

I've decided that I want to take this blog further than random posts about my day, to writing about events, and incorporating local music artists as well as those outside of town. Tomorrow is the start and I will be kicking things off with a 25 minute mix from Producer/DJ Top Knoch who you may or may not know from around the area. This will be followed up with an interview later on in the week.

Let's see how far this blog goes.

Progress

Mitchie.

EDIT: I just remembered, I was asked what the previous post was about.
This random 'alien' insect appeared on my window this afternoon, and with a confused face, I decided to take some photos. I don't know what on earth it is.. any ideas?

Wii like it at Rhiannon's

I'd heard the rumours, and found it hard to believe, but Rhiannon is absolutely amazing at Mario Kart. I seriously thought I'd be able to beat her at least once, but I'm sorry to say, I failed. I'm actually proud of the second places I won! At least I won at 100 meters on Sonic & Mario olympics though..

Red Nose Day - Continued

Today was a good day. Random smiles all round. I couldn't believe it was possible for me to be so hyper when I felt so tired! Michael and I reminisced about the days when we used to visit Cambridge, which I can see starting again in the near future! This being the fourth post of the day is the result of a creative outburst. I have a lot of ideas for this blog so make sure it enters your bookmarks!

Voodoo Balls.. Pink Socking..
Yeah.. todays been quite random.

Mitchie.

Dove?

Well.
I was feeling peckish as a stepped down off the bus so I thought I'd buy some Starbursts from the shop. I went in, and bought myself a samosa.. randomly. As i was handing the money over to the man in charge... I looked over at the new point of sale display on the counter and thought.. 'Dove?'.
So I bought one.

Never seen one of these before in my life.

The words arn't even written in English! Apart from Dove of course.

Purdy

Verdict.
Absolutely delicious! The caramel is perfect and the chocolate tastes amazingly creamy. Im guessing is has nuts in the mix somewhere.. no crunchies though.
6 pieces, it looks nice, the wrapper is cool & I have no idea what the words on the wrapper say. Well worth the 45p I had spare in my pocket to be honest.

I recommend
