Inspiration

Have you ever sat down with the intent of looking for inspiration to then find yourself stuck in a vicious cycle of discovery & awe for days on end and actually getting nothing done?

I have...

Mitchie.

Too much discovery, not enough postery... many many posts to come DEFINITELY.

Come On You Spurs!

What a start to the season. I just realised how much I really missed football! goals galore yesterday with Ars*nal destroying Everton 6-1, Drogba's awesome fluke goal and no matches ending in a draw... good times. Even better times - Tottenham beat Liverpool! Spurs were all over them. Keane should have put his chances away but I'll give him first-match-of-the-season-benefit-of-the-doubt but Modric's plays were epic. Tottenham's defence was epic. Assou-Ekotto's goal was epic... I don't think we have much to worry about this season.

We ended last season losing to Liverpool and left a lot of people scrutinising the defence, saying that it was all Spurs needed to make them a great team. First match back and the only goal Liverpool could score against us came from a silly penalty given away by Gomes. Good times I think.

Top four anyone?

Schumacher calls off Formula One comeback

Due to injury on his neck caused by a motorbike accident earlier in the week, Michael Schumacher cannot fill in for the injured Massa in the next F1 race (yaaaaaaaaaaay :D). Two injuries for Ferrari, not good. I'll admit it now Anthony, I was a little bit concerned as Schumacher is a bare-time winner of Formula 1 championships but he isn't much of a threat when his necks all hurting like that.

Boycott Activision?

If you've been playing games for as long as me, you'll have probably been through a period where most of your favourite games starting up saying "EA Sports - It's in the game." These were the good old days where EA cared about making original games where 100% effort was put into it. Now, Electronic Arts are evil, only care about money, and milk each one of their games with mediocre sequels. Activision came along and everyone (including myself) were like "yay Activision, their games are sick," and they were... they did what EA stopped doing and did a better job. Call of Duty 4 is an Activision game and everybody loves it apparently, but now Activision are the evil ones.

This is probably the first time you've heard about this dude, but, Robert Kotick is the CEO, President and board member for Activision Blizzard and it seems that Robert Kotick is a very greedy man. We all know that we are in recession and you've probably felt it. There's probably loads of games that you've wanted to buy but can't afford to buy anymore. Robert Kotick feels that his company are also hurting as games are costing more to develop. Now, instead of doing what other game developers do such as giving incentives like free content if you but the game new so less people buy them pre-owned, he wants to increase the price of the games.

It's not just talk either. Modern Warfare 2 is being released at an RRP of £55. This is £5 more than the current RRP for games but the price depends on where you're buying the game from, which will obviously be increased by £5. Kotick wants games to cost even more than £55 which would mean that even more people will be able to afford even less games than they can at the moment. If Kotick gets his way and Activision's games are sold at £60 or more, then other games developers are going to follow, and you don't want that!

There's been talk about different ways to show Activision that we don't want this price hike to happen and it looks like a lot of them are going to happen. DON'T BUY ANY GAMES BY ACTIVISION! If you do... it's all you're fault. Don't do it maaaan.

Back to Burnout...

Oh, hello there...

This game is so addictive.

I'm officially gaming again. It took a while to get back into it since I stopped for all of my coursework, but now I can't stop! I finally got my Platinum trophy on Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and now I'm working on the Burnout one, which is gonna take a looong timeee. I wish Sony would hurry up with those PlayStation Cards because I really wanna download the Paradise Island add-on. Looks heavy.

Even though I haven't posted in a while, there's nothing really to catch up on. Half of the people who read this blog have flown off to Ibiza haha... damn.

FOOTBALL SEASON STARTS IN ONE WEEK ON SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!! Yeah I'm excited, and what!? xD
Tottenham have signed Peter Crouch. I really don't know what to think of that... I just hope he plays well! We also stole Bassong from poor Newcastle who got relegated last season haha (sorry Scott) who should help with our push towards the top four.

More football related posts to come. I'm probably gonna start designing stuff soon as well so look out for the stuff I'll have to show! Need a bit of practice before I go on my art course in September...

This post probably seems jumbled up and random but that's what hours of gaming, lack of posting and overtime at work can do to you! Anyway, I'm gonna go watch a film of something
